We deliver mobile 1-2-1 personal training at a number of local gyms, offer outdoor personal training or at your home where equipped to train.
As with nutrition coaching our personal training is delivered with a personalised, no-nonsense, science based approach to help you achieve your goals which we will set together through a personal training programme that is tailored to you and is both achievable and sustainable.
While we use an app to help assist you with programmes, workouts including exercise videos, progress tracking and more we also train old school and are more than happy to write programmes in your training diary or cards if apps aren't your thing.
WHAT TO EXPECT
ONBOARDING:
After choosing us for your personal trainer you'll receive an onboarding pack, welcoming you to the team, , a pre-assessment questionnaire and par-q form.
You'll receive a link to download and join our app where you'll be able to track your progress, access your workouts and join the Natural Athlete Community to share progress, challenge each other and share achievements and tips.
By choosing us as your personal trainer you are committing to putting in the time and effort to achieve the goals we set together, it is this commitment that forms the basis of the simple personal training contract which will take you through the boring necessary information and help you to understand both what to expect from us and what we expect from you... spoiler alert it's effort based.
We can help direct your pathway and facilitate achieving your goals as a trainer if you are committed to achieving them too.
GETTING IT RIGHT & GETTING ON WITH IT
As your training programmes are personalised to you after receiving a completed contract and preassessment we'll have a discussion to ensure your training programme and the support to deliver it is personalised to your needs, enjoyable where possible, sustainable where relevant and entirely achievable.
After we've been through your programmes and you're happy we'll get you booked in to get you on that next step to achieving your goals
FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SCREENING
Functional movement screening is available to assess any muscle and strength imbalances, flexibility, stability or proprioception issues to help you attain peak performance post rehab, reduce any risk factors for future injury or just to help you get that performance edge that any of the aforementioned limiting factors may be impacting.
Functional movement screening is a tool used to evaluate seven fundamental movement patterns to look at imbalances and measure progress over time which can be particularly helpful when implementing improvement plans.
It is not an injury diagnosis tool and wouldn't be used where severe pain or consistent struggles present. In this case you would be referred to your general practitioner or a physiotherapist.
ONLINE PERSONAL TRAINING
Online personal training follows the same process we have already described but with communication via video calls and your workouts and nutrition plans delivered through our app which also contains goal setting and monitoring through your profile and a chat feature so you can communicate easily with me all in one place. Depending on the type of training you choose instruction could be delivered through a video call set up or live streaming sessions.

RUNNING SPECIFIC PERSONAL TRAINING
Running is my jam... With over 12 years experience running Marathons and Ultra Marathons, including 7 NYC marathons, the National 100K, 2 x 12hr runs and a wide variety of local and small town races, leading local running clubs and race directing under my belt I've literally learned the hard way so you don't have to! Fun fact I qualified as a sport nutritionist over 7 years ago while working in healthcare management not for a job but purely to better understand my race nutrition once I started cranking up those race distances.
I'd love to walk through your race journey with you whether it's nutrition support, a full race training programme, form mot, functional movement screening, race day strategies, injury prevention plans or just offering general advice. Don't be afraid to ask.
Please note physical running PT sessions until April will be limited to treadmill or outdoor sprint and hill sessions as I complete my rehab from tendonitis. Longer distance running sessions should resume from mid April.
